Commenced work with Heywood & Ogden, Architects & Surveyors of Oldham in January 1965.

Trained for Hall Needham Associates etc. at Manchester College Building, Oldham Technical College and Stockport Technical College.

Became an Associate of the Institute of Architects and Surveyors in 1973.

The Association changed its name in the early 1990's to the Association of Building Engineers.
